Quality Control Manager

The Technology Sector’s Quality Control Manager is responsible for supporting the site operations project team in developing a Quality Control (QC) plan tailored to the project specifications, support the project team with QC file structure and setup, create a list of definable features of work (DFOW), as well as provide third party oversight of the inspection process and tracking deficiencies to resolution. Finally, the QC Manager is responsible for auditing the project Quality Control processes and deliverables for conformance to HITT’s Technology Sector, Contractor Quality Control program, (CQC).

Responsibilities

  • Review specifications and submittals
  • Develop Project Contractor Quality Control Plan
  • Manage and track inspections
  • Develop DFOW inspection forms
  • Perform Quality Control inspections
  • Track Quality Control deficiencies
  • Manage Quality Control meetings
  • Establish craftsmanship standards
  • Coordinate safety requirements
  • Coordinate with project team
  • Coordinate Quality Control deliverables with MEP superintendents
  • Audit site operations Contractor Quality Control program
  • Develop Quality Control inspection forms and manage Quality Control documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years’ experience managing a Quality Control Program for general construction
  • 2 years combined experience in Mission Critical Construction, Hospital Construction, Mechanical and Electrical Construction, and Commissioning
  • U.S. army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification, or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills; verbal and written
  • Strong leadership skills; able to build and lead a team
  • Capable in coordinating and scheduling QC activities
  • Aptitude for problem solving
  • Ability to work independently
  • Motivated self-starter
  • Effectively utilize computer and software technology in the performance of duties
