Pursuits Associate – Marketing

This entry to mid-level pursuits associate leads the development of responses to RFQ/RFPs, interview presentations, and award submissions. Additionally, the associate acts as the point of contact in servicing assigned business units of the company. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, high-performing, and has strong customer service skills. Key to this position is the ability to multi-task and to remain cool while working under multiple deadlines. The position requires excellent writing and design layout skills.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Technical Writing or Graphic Design, or equivalent work experience.
  • 0–4 years of experience in marketing in a fast-paced corporate environment; experience in the architecture / engineering / construction (A/E/C) field is desirable, but not required.
  • Excellent technical writing and editing skills are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • High level of working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud is desired (specifically InDesign).
  • Experience developing proposals is desired.
  • Confidence in leading operations project teams and collaborating with executive leadership individually and in group settings is desired.
  • Demonstrated strengths in teamwork, organization, multi-tasking, and project management are a plus.
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics, is a plus.



  • The position reports to the assigned pursuits manager or pursuits director.



  • Lead the strategy, coordination, writing, editing, layout, and production of qualifications packages and proposals.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop interview presentation strategy; lead the development of interview materials including presentations, interview books, and handouts; direct presentation rehearsals and ensure the presentation team is well-prepared.
  • Act as point of contact for assigned business units; guide them as they need marketing support; maintain project and team knowledge.
  • Develop and maintain business unit-specific marketing content including narratives and photography for use in proposals, brochures, collateral, company website, social media, etc.
  • Update and maintain marketing materials including resumes, project sheets, AIA A305, proposal materials, etc.
  • Manage and produce industry and project-specific award submissions.
