Project Executive – Base Building

The Project Executive role is to effectively manage large-scale complex projects from discovery and design to development and implementation.  A Project Executive is responsible for all the duties performed by the Senior Project Manager as well as the following:

Responsibilities

  • Maintains adherence to HITT’s standards of safety
  • Ensures the all job processes are followed in accordance with HITT policies
  • Negotiates terms and conditions of contracts with clients
  • Create project schedules and monitor progress through monthly updates
  • Ensures that the project Quality Control Plan is followed
  • Assists that project staff in resolving scope problems with subcontractors
  • Ensures proper assignment and evaluation of field personnel both within the project team and throughout the company
  • Identifies and negotiates time extensions where justified and allowed
  • Acquires new work as well as maintaining existing clients, leads pursuits of new projects developing strategy, content, and differentiators for RFP responses
  • Maintains positive relationships with the subcontractor community and fosters new relationships
  • Ensures timely completion of closeout process
  • Leads the preconstruction and RFP package effort with the help of the Preconstruction Department and/or other company resources
  • Delegates responsibility when necessary to ensure that the project/tasks run smoothly
  • Develop new client relationships and opportunities for new work

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor
  • High school diploma required, four-year degree from an accredited university within the construction, engineering, or business concentrations strongly preferred
  • Previous experience in a project management role with the ability to execute multiple projects and/or simultaneously in excess of $100M+
  • Ability to master sector/project-specific software systems including but not limited to: Primavera P6, Microsoft Office suite (ex. Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, JD Edwards
  • Mastery of reading construction drawings; tasks including reading, interpreting, and updating construction project-related drawings
  • Ability to organize necessary resources, including people, tools and time to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results
  • Deep knowledge of current market conditions including pricing conventions and trends
