Chief Human Resources Officer

HITT Contracting is headquartered in the Washington, DC area (Falls Church, VA). HITT Contracting Inc. has an immediate need for a Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). This individual will provide the highest level of strategy and advisory leadership and is integral in driving HITT’s strategic initiatives. The CHRO is responsible for executing human capital management in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the company.  The CHRO reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and serves on the Corporate Steering Committee, our cross functional executive leadership team. The CHRO role is continuously changing and demanding of different capabilities including:

  • Expert Analytical & Modeling Capabilities – can direct activities to acquire and organize data, convert to information, communicate insights, and influence outcomes
  • Systems Acumen – provides decision support and oversight for HR applications within all functions of the team

  • Provide human capital leadership to align the Company’s strategic priorities and brand to cultivate the ultimate team member experience
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive level leadership and demonstrate expertise in risk aversion
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for HR compliance with regulatory and legal requirements
  • Lead change and culture initiatives in diversity and inclusion, rewards and recognition, and organizational development
  • Ensures program success of all areas within HR including payroll, benefits, talent management and acquisition, and learning and development through continuous review and evaluation
  • Drive and align processes and operational efficiencies across each HR function and deliver enterprise wide as a seamless service center to the business 
  • Leverage HR technologies to predict and drive enterprise wide decisions by utilizing people analytics


  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business, or a relate discipline
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • SPHR/PHR certification
  • 15+ years of professional experience
  • Experience with mid- to large-sized organizations using an HR Centers of Excellence (COE) model
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities at an organization with best-in-class solutions
  • Experience in professional services industry preferred
  • Systems implementation and optimization experience with an HRIS, LMS, ATS, etc.
  • Knowledge of internal controls and keen sense of business acumen
