Facilities Manager

The Facilities Manager is integral in making sure our spaces run like well-oiled machines, anticipating our office and space needs before we even know we have them. You will balance time on the office floor maintaining the organization and tidiness of our corporate headquarters and additional properties.

The Facilities Manager in conjunction with the Building Engineer, is responsible for operation and maintenance of building operations and grounds, support of mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems, including 24/7 emergency response to critical issues. You will ensure facilities are structurally sound, operationally efficient, well maintained, and safe.

Duties included but not limited to the following:

Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate, oversee and or/manage repair and maintenance work assignments performed by technicians, vendors and contractors performing building maintenance, landscaping and janitorial work
  • Obtain and review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for janitorial services and landscaping
  • Conduct detailed quarterly reviews of all Facilities operating costs and produce variance explanations, trends and reports
  • Manage facilities expenses and budget
  • Responsible for invoice processing and accuracy of vendor invoices 
  • Conduct preventative building maintenance by performing building audits and inspections
  • Support the implementation of innovative programs and processes that reduce short and long term operating costs and increase productivity
  • Manage warehouse team members with oversight of shipping and receiving, conference setup and takedown
  • Manage tools and consumables rentals
  • Order and maintain inventory of office supplies
  • Act as the liaison for internal tenants
  • Manager fleet
  • Manage building access and coordinate with Kastle Systems
  • Oversee HITT’s vending market
  • Oversee space and seating needs to accommodate growth at our corporate headquarters and beyond
  • Ensure our office is always presentable by overseeing general housekeeping
  • Maintain all copiers, printers, shredders and plotters
  • May assemble furniture, change light bulbs, perform minor repairs, hang pictures and do other minor handy work
  • Will be required to provide service and delivery to special projects as assigned
  • Help further corporate mission by completing other related duties as required

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 8-10 years of relevant work experience in facility management
  • Strong organizational, time management and customer service skills
  • Proactive approach in building management and up keep
  • Ability to work independently with limited oversight
  • Comfortable communicating across all position levels
  • Resourceful and able to anticipate needs
