Events Manager

You are passionate about creating memorable moments through exceptional events. Reporting to the head of the Communications Team (Director, Integrated Marketing Communications), this events visionary is responsible for creating, managing, and executing major corporate events for both internal and external audiences. Events range widely and include corporate picnics, holiday parties, happy hours, in-house celebrations, panel presentations, executive conferences, client experiences, and large-scale external events. The events manager will have singular responsibility for the development, execution, and success of the events, including budget development, and pre- and post-event management. They will collaborate closely with internal teams including Human Resources, Communications, Creative, and Corporate Business Development to create engaging and interactive end-to-end event experiences

The position requires strong skills in visualization, event planning, communication, project management, budget / cost management, vendor relations, and vendor management. Critical to success in the role is excellent taste, an eye for details, and a desire to deliver incredible event experiences. The ideal candidate is creative, passionate, collaborative, and confident working with executive leadership, with the ability to multi-task and manage their time and resources effectively. This position also requires domestic travel; up to 25% in 2023.


  • Collaborate across functions to develop event strategies for both internal and external stakeholders, working closely with Leadership, to identify event objectives, themes, structure, content, attendee engagement, attendee experience, and budgets
  • Contribute thought leadership in trends, ideas, venues, and approaches to events to bring energy and vision to the brand through experiential marketing
  • Create event proposals and budgets to be presented to internal clients, using tools such as mood boards, pitches, and tours to ensure alignment of expectations and vision
  • Manage the events calendars, ensuring internal coordination with leadership schedules and minimizing conflicts with industry events, holidays, etc.
  • Collaborate with internal clients, communications, corporate business development, and executive leadership to develop guests lists, and manage attendance aggressively
  • Work closely with the in-house creative team and/or marketing agencies to develop branding and graphics
  • Conduct the RFP process, vendor selection, and vendor management for vendors including promotional items, photographer/videographer, event firms, floral, catering, A/V, furniture and décor, labor, entertainment, etc.
  • Collaborate with the creative and communications team to position and document events to be used for PR and marketing collateral including social media
  • Lead pre and post event management including, but not limited to, project plan creation, event objectives / themes / content documentation, action list management, agenda development / show flow, core team communications, and reporting
  • Lead on-site execution including pre- and post-event management (logistics, rehearsals, presenters), evening events, and ancillary meetings
  • Domestic travel is required; up to 25% in 2023


  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field is required
  • 7+ years of experience in meetings / events management for an events agency, hospitality location, association, or corporate environment
  • Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) is desired, but not required
  • Proven experience visualizing, developing, managing budgets and vendor agreements, and executing a range of events like business meetings, conferences, business networking, galas, etc.
  • Proficiency in marketing campaign and event management platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
  • The ability to create event experiences with meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational expertise, to deliver measurable marketing results is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required: Adobe Creative Cloud, ClickDimensions, and Microsoft Dynamics are a plus
  • Strengths in implementing process, creating efficiencies, and negotiating on behalf of the firm
  • Ability to manage senior level stakeholders and align event content / expectations accordingly
