Brand Director

The ideal candidate for this new role is an expert marketer with the passion to envision and create brand experiences for one of the nation’s top commercial builders. The Brand Director will drive the brand strategy nationwide by crafting incredible client experiences, unforgettable events, and impactful visual branding. They are responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase brand loyalty amongst our employees, clients, and partners, strengthening our team, partnerships, and portfolio. The Brand Director will leverage their marketing expertise and collaborate with the communications, business development, and recruiting teams to increase HITT’s brand value across our target audiences. They are a steward of the brand, always seeking to elevate the HITT experience in the client, employee, and partner journeys.

The Brand Director will work collaboratively with the creative and communications teams to lead the ideation, development, and execution of advertising, digital design, visual content, office branding, etc. They will work with key marketing partners on critical corporate initiatives, bringing the HITT brand to the forefront of the employee and client experience. The Brand Director leads the decision making for design and development of all visual branding for marketing activities including advertising campaigns, events, collateral, and content. Working collaboratively with the communications team, the brand director leads the planning and execution of branding campaigns and plays a critical role in the successful execution of the marketing plan. Working with the in-house events team, they will manage the development and execution of events, ranging from intimate dinners to large scale client outings.

The ideal candidate is a design-minded visual creative with the breadth of experience to manage a variety of functions from CX to graphic design. They are strategic and visionary with an eye for organization and a drive for results. Key to this position is a thirst for challenge, passion for visual design, and the ability communicate a vision and inspire others. The position requires superb taste, trendsetting vision, excellent judgement, and the ability to lead creatives and peers in project execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Translate marketing objectives into clear brand strategies
  • Oversee key marketing campaign initiatives to ensure marketing goals are properly executed
  • Lead the development and evolution of the visual brand strategy
  • Ideate, develop, and execute creative content to achieve marketing plans
  • Communicate brand strategy and vision to executive leadership to ensure alignment with campaign strategies and solutions
  • Manage the brand process from concept to completion for all marketing collateral including promotional materials, print and digital, etc.
  • Define the creative vision for all multimedia, photography, and videography; lead the visual development of large-scale productions such as corporate messaging videos and lifestyle shoots
  • Collaborate with the communications team to develop the annual advertising creative strategy and achieve marketing plan goals
  • Work closely with the creative and event teams to create brand experiences for employee engagement events, client events, and recruiting activities
  • Develop and implement strategic branding plans for new markets and/or service lines; ensure alignment with marketing, business development, and communications plans
  • Identify new tools, platforms, and approaches for elevating the brand experience
  • Recruit, manage and cultivate the career development of brand team members

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, or Fine Arts is required, or other degree plus relevant work experience and training (or combination thereof)
  • 10+ years of experience in creative strategy, branding, and/or graphic design (or combination thereof)
  • Experience leading branding for large corporations, either in-house or in an agency role, is required; experience in the A/E/C field is a plus
  • Expertise in graphic design tools, especially Adobe Creative Cloud, web design / coding, photography, and videography are required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required; strong public speaking skills are critical
  • Experience with both print and digital platforms is required, well as familiarity with the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, photography, etc.; experience in branding of physical spaces and large-scale environmental mediums is a plus
  • Demonstrated strengths in creativity, strategy, and execution are required, as evidenced by previous successful branding campaigns
  • Experience managing a marketing plan to budget is required
  • Experience directing a team of creatives, especially graphic designers, web developers, multimedia experts and copy writers, is required
  • Experience with events is required

REPORTING STRUCTURE

  • The position reports to the Director of Marketing
  • The role manages a team of 7+ including graphic designers, multimedia, client experience, merchandizing, and events team
